Maybe I'll be able to do a lateral move in the company. Literally a lateral move because the other department is on the same floor on the other side of the building. That will tide me over for a while until they move those jobs. I might get another year or so out of the deal, at which time I would get another severance offer and the customary job search assistance. The economy might be improving even more by then, unless the new batch of idiots in Congress decides to rat fuck everything again.

The weather is nice and brisk. The windows are all open and Sonny is being obnoxious trying to get out the door. He must think he'll be able to catch the birds that drive him wild. The tailless cat next door has been lurking around, trying to lure him out to frolic.

I have got to get this Ruxandra book done since there are other stories that want to be told.
