Yikes! Too much to do!
Sep. 13th, 2006 08:26 pmStupid nightmare last night. I dreamed I was with Vel and Gil and we were towing their FEMA trailer somewhere. Somehow, the tire went flat so we had to jack it up to change the tire. In the process of jacking the trailer up entirely too vigorously, it flipped over with us inside it. Dreams like that don't make any sense. I would never jack any vehicle up from the inside. The funny thing was that it looked more like part of their house than a trailer.
hmc_lavadogs woke me up when I started to whimper pitifully.
That seems to be another in my long line of dreams about dwellings I only own while asleep. I've had some doozies over the years. Sometimes the dwellings were really nice houses with the tackiest furniture and color schemes. Sometimes they were jazzy apartments. Sometimes they were hovels in the woods. None of them really suited me and I still can't understand what the symbology is so that I can make them go away.
( there's no marching for this hare )

Tired, tired, tired.
Aug. 20th, 2006 10:11 amKen's memorial circle was great. Most of us choked back tears. I saw pictures of him when he was younger and he was a hottie. No wonder he was such a flirt. The PPD was fairly subdued because of his passing. People were talking about him and consoling Trixie. Ken's mother and sister were there for a while. His sister was tripping and got nasty with Vel because she wasn't dealing well with her grief. I distracted her from picking any fights.
The dinner the previous night was attended better. The Pagan community in the Shreveport area is larger than I thought. I also met one of the heathen I sent email to invite to our PPD. He gave me his email addy and I told him I'd already gotten his info from
witchy_abriel.
Driving is tiring. Thankfully, I had cassettes. Radio up here is abysmal at times. One more leg of the journey gets me home and makes a bunch of mopey cats happy.

Shreveport this weekend.
Aug. 16th, 2006 01:10 pmGoing up to Shreveport for PPD and Ken's memorial. It's hard to believe Ken is dead. He was only in his late 50s. Not old at all by today's standards. Apparently he was one of two people who died at this year's Dragonfest in Colorado. At least he was doing what he loved at the end: bringing cool jewelry to the Pagan communities.
So much to get done. I'm going to have to give David either this or tomorrow evening to deliver the printer. If neither is convenient, it will have to be next week.
I tried to call
lab_rattus back last evening and the evening before (she never seems to remember that I've got my writers' group on Monday nights). I hope her interview went OK. She seemed to be freaking out somewhat over it.
Ye flipping gods, I'm tired already and haven't even driven the diagonal of the state yet. It will be nice to see Brad again. He's letting us stay at his place.
