Keeping humble.

Last Monday, Hubby's hard drive decided to make a clicking sound and little else. Tuesday night, I fixed his computer. Wednesday morning, I flipped the switch on my computer and the magic smoke ecaped from the power supply. Wednesday evening, I bought a new power supply. By Thursday and after consulting with another geek friend, it was apparent that the frying power supply took out the motherboard. Having no spares that work, I have to wait for a new one to arrive sometime next week. I'll probably be scarce until it arrives.

This weekend is for getting the house ready for new windows. LAS is finally installing them next Thursday. Hooray! After that, it will be on to getting the kitchen cabinets replaced. Hubby has begun to take an interest so it may be an easier process.

How many times will we have to tell each other we should live closer? Being as I have a room full of computer carcasses with every nook and cranny filled with pieces of innards and all manner of adaptors and cords and peripheral doo-dads. I'd love to send them to someone who will actually use them and I know they'll wind up on the recycler's heap. Shameful!

Yay for new windows! Beware of Hubby's newfound interest, it could cause additional leakage from all bank accounts concerned! Well, in my case it did anyway... 8D
