The [livejournal.com profile] susan_club is the place to be if your name is any variation of Susan. That will be the first community I've ever moderated so feel free to give me pointers when necessary.

Well, if I knew any Susans, I'd point them in that direction. But I don't. :)

LOL you know how many of us on your list all have the same name? I know at least one other. :)

Yeah. We need to stick together.

That means you need to click over there and become a member. You and [livejournal.com profile] saminz are the reasons I started that community. That and I wanted to see who else might come out of the woodwork.

Sorry.

You - or someone - posted that before - and it certainly is endearing :-). Even if I don't really *get* the joke, I'm afraid....

I've done so more than once.

The Tick was a wonderfully comic TV cartoon based on an even zanier comic book series.

That particular dialog in the episode Tick vs The Uncommon Cold was just so silly that it stuck with me. Every time I hear the name "Susan" I remember it.

Well - it surely is cute. And silly ;-).

That always makes me laugh. The guy who played Putty on "Seinfeld" made such a perfect Tick.

He does a lot of cartoon voice work.

He plays at least 2 on Venture Brothers, and another on Family Guy. I'm sure I've heard him on others, but I can't remember anymore.

Sadly, I don't get to watch Robot Chicken anymore. :-(

The Tick!
I love The Tick... (http://www.livejournal.com/community/scans_daily/619349.html)

Hey - you did it ;-)!

And I of course applied. Wonder what will come of it? What does define us as Susans - besides talking a lot, as you so cleverly pointed out judging by us three :-)?
To any quiet and shy Susan that happens to drop by: Please make yourself heard, ok?

You posted, but you haven't joined the community. Click on the community info link and then click the join button. Too bad your auntie isn't also a geek; she'd probably get a kick out of it too.

Sorry.

Well - too bad she's dead, first of all :-). I would probably have bought her a laptop and pestered her into joning years ago! And I am pretty sure she would have, too.
And yes, that's what happens when you click that button: You get a message saying: Your application has been noted, and the powers that be will decide on it, or something of the sort ;-).

And that's what I got:

yes, she is also a Susanne.

Is that so?!

My cousin is a J. Susan, and I know a lot of people in the Pagan community named Susan (we have a running joke that there is a statistically excessive number of "Susans" and "Davids" in the local Pagan community). And of course, there's Susan Ivanova, XO of Babylon 5...

But not me.

This

is blantant anti-non-Susan discrimination!

You could always start a Phil club.

I could,

Date: 2005-06-11 09:20 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] lionsphil.livejournal.com
but I haven't managed to set up the hive-mind of clones yet.

Incidentally, which idiot programmed LameJournal to try to spell-check the markup? It tried to correct 'href' -- sheesh...

Spell checking markup?

Date: 2005-06-11 09:32 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] nolawitch.livejournal.com
Very weird. I've seen error messages when something or other was left out, but not a suggestion correction for 'href'.

Pffft.

Spell-check is for wienies. ;)

Don't bother trying to patent your cloning and neural-net protocols. The neocons have successfully established prior art. :)

Indeed. I don't usually spell-check,

Date: 2005-06-11 11:54 pm (UTC)

but the "quick reply" watsit doesn't have an option to preview without spell-checking, and I prefer to preview any post involving links.

Every "susan" I knew was preceeded with the word Crazy...ie...Who ran around naked in the quarter? Wasnt that Crazy Susan?

Date: 2005-06-11 08:37 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] nolawitch.livejournal.com
You say "crazy" like it's a bad thing. The naked woman in the Quarter must've been before my time. I moved here in 1991 so all I know about some local characters is what I've heard. Is running naked in the street any crazier than Ruthie the Duck Lady or Holy Moses at a Saints game?

Date: 2005-06-12 03:01 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] solitary4now.livejournal.com
now ruthie wasnt crazy...she was endearing...lol. and Holy Moses was dedicated...

My middle name is Suzanne.
