Productive weekend

Our house guest finally moved out. She still doesn't have a job, so she went to live with her new boyfriend. It's so nice to have the living room back for general chilling on the couch and watching TV. I no longer feel confined to certain parts of the house.

I've been starting the process of churning through stuff to get rid of as much as possible before any of the renovations begin. I don't want to have so much crap to store while the work is proceeding, and I don't want an abundance of crap to return to the downstairs when it's finished.

Unfortunately, getting some stuff done is just a way of putting off other stuff I need to do that I find less appealing. Productive procrastination drives me crazy sometimes.

There's nothing quite like restoring your calm (and house) back to what it should be. I can't wait till I have something new and private. It's the stuff with me too. I'm waffling on what I want and what I know I should let go. And if I never have to have things in storage again I'll be a happy camper.

Renovating can be so challenging, but totally worth the effort. Hope we get to see some pictures.
