Still no progress - Happy new year

nolawitch58Lowes told me that my last item would be in on Monday. I called them yesterday, and it hadn't been received. It's supposed to be in again tomorrow. I'll believe it when it happens. It's been a month since I ordered everything. I'm composing a long list of suggestions for my response to the feedback request. Their website needs to show which items are or are not in stock. If the items are special order, a reasonable lead time for delivery should be shown. The online order shouldn't break into several orders without an overarching reference number for the customer to ask about when calling. So many things wrong with the way they do it from the customer's perspective.
It feels like the bathroom is going to drag into the middle of January. I hope to hell not. I'm hoping to get the downstairs done in March, providing my bonus and tax refund are robust. The sooner all this chaos is over, the better.

We'll see how much can get accomplished this year. I'm hoping to sign my book contract by the end of January. There's a huge project at work I'll be able to devour that rolls into 2015. So many opportunities to help shepherd the new version into best practices and ditch all the ugly parts of the old version. All the work on the house should be done before summer. If money is left over, I'm getting some new furniture. I'm also not going to spend it all. I'll still keep a cushion for just in case. This coming year should be interesting to say the least.

That one order is broken up into several - that's bullshit alright and makes things a lot more nervy than they could be for everyone concerned. Stupid!!
Wish you strength. Such things *do* get done, eventually, as you certainly know ;-).
