My Sis and BIL live in this really old craftsman on the land donated to the county parks dept. and I've had to explain to her what an adult toilet is. The ones in her house are for children offering a true squatting experience.

We took the long view and decided what we'd need as we aged. I only wanted to do this remodeling stuff once. The toilet also saves a bunch of water. It's one of the most efficient toilets on the market.
The whole first floor is next. As soon as my bonus and tax refunds come in, I'm going to tackle that. The work will involve stashing everything in a PODS until the job is done. We're tiling the whole floor, scraping that awful popcorn texture off the ceiling, painting walls, restaining all of the trim, installing new kitchen cabinets and countertops and backsplash. That should drive me to drink.
