I'm more excited than usual about ritual tonight. We're initiating a new witch prior to Lammas ritual. Lots of fun! He has worked so hard and has spent the last night of his life as a dedicant. Tomorrow he will wake up as a First Degree. I'm so happy for him.

Vel is letting me into her ReVamps business. If you know anyone in the Greater New Orleans area who needs organization and redecorating services, send them our way. The ReVamps listing is on Witchvox. There is a phone number for contact purposes. I'm going to be making up some business cards and putting them around town. I'm also thinking about flyers on supermarket bulletin boards. I'll also post it on local sites, such as Craigslist, etc. The main problem most people have with clutter and organization is in getting started. Also, by the time they realize they have a problem, it's far too daunting for one person to deal with.

And a provident Lugnasad to you, dearie.

Wow! Talk about running with a good thing. ReVamps is a great name too. :)

I actually have "work on office" on my list today. ...Right after "nap all afternoon". ;P

you go ...!

I so wish I'd have the money to buy you a flight ticket over here :-)

I'm sure you would have sorted our closet room (a room which is too small to be a room?
originally intended to put your vaccuum cleaner in and stuff?) in no time. We're fitting it with cupboards and try to get in all our things from my previous flat + hubbys flat, and it has to be organized in a way that we re-find the things ...! Daunting, especially for clutter-lovers like us.

So, till then I'll just hope your business roars so much you can afford a flight to Europe youself (ahem, ONLY for vacations, for sure, we wouldn't have you work, no, I promise ...).
And a happy ritual, for sure.

I wish I could get out to San Francisco to help Nea out. She's been in need for a couple of years that I know of. I'm actually trying to swing a trip up to Little Rock to help another Pagan friend in September. We'll see what shakes with that. I haven't been out of town further than across the lake for years.

If asked which jobs would involve a lot of travelling, I'd never have included organization & redecorating services :)

But if you do it for friends, there's always the chance of real vacation included, no?

And funny to once again realize how big your country is. My "farthest away" real friend IRL is a six hours drive away, which is in a way far, but still near enough to help him out with moves, heart sickness or related troubles :)

Oh, if I actually make it to San Francisco, I'm going to do some wandering around. There would be much drinking and booty shaking after the work was done.

This country is HUGE. It will take me eight hours to drive to Little Rock. It's all highway driving, though, so it's not that bad. Interstate 55 got repaved through Mississippi a few years ago so it's probably still in pretty good shape.

(Had to delete the misposted entry below. Don't know why it ended up there instead of here.)

ack! Lammas already???

I keep thinking once I get my draft out for review, I'd have "breather" space. But this reminds me I have a web update to do on my Pagan Parent site, and at least a household ritual to perform. Our coven stuff is next weekend, though -- the 8th annual Pagan Picnic -- and we have a BNA showing up... Phyllis Curott. I hope she's going to be cool and down to earth and not someone with a "celebrity" head on her. I also hope her being there doesn't turn the event into a zoo.

I wouldn't dream of bypassing you! I've been wanting to see that awesome sculpture you worked so hard to restore. Then there's the prospect of getting you tipsy and getting you to sing. How could I pass up such a great opportunity?

LOL. You don't have to get me tipsy to sing.... You don't even have to get me tipsy to dance nekkid 'round the bonfire. :P

I love Philly. When I lived in New York, we'd take the train down to visit a couple of times a year. My first husband got his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and had friends there. The cheesesteak sandwiches were worth the trip.

Do you like Joe and Ed, the furniture guys? They are so funny and their accents make them even funnier.

Egads. I went to Penn.

But I didn't hang out with too many grad students, so I probably don't know him.

I don't have anything for you to clean or organize...I'm pretty good at that myself, but you're welcome to stay with us. There's much fun to be had up here.

Have a great ritual tonight!

I wanted to go to the open ritual tonight. I am sorry I missed it. With my son in town he decided he wanted to see a movie and we didn't plan out our time very well and by the time the movie was over ritual would have been well under way. I am such a schlep :-/ ... I hope it was fantabulous! Maybe the next open ritual ... I HOPE!!!! See you on the 10th!!!
