Wow, it's 2012 already.
Jan. 8th, 2012 08:55 amI made it through the holidays. Right after Yule ritual, I got whatever horrid illness was going around, taking off one day of work sick. I rallied that Friday, but stayed in bed the next three days of the long weekend to suffer fever, congestion and coughing. The rest of that week dragged until the following three-day weekend to rest some more, with one deviation to visit the in-laws to celebrate mother-in-law's birthday and watch the Saints game. The cough lingers. Being sick sucks.
Being sick also put a serious crimp in my accomplishments. There are three boxes of condo records to examine and hopefully winnow through. I suggested to the other officers that we keep only a minimum of required stuff and archive the rest, scanning everything for historical purposes, but ditching anything older than seven years as needed for tax purposes. It should all fit in one box if we do it right. That will make turning over the officers' positions much easier. The last long-term condo president had to sell her unit and move before she got rid of the job. We kept re-electing her because nobody else wanted to fool with it.
The Saints won their first playoff game. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll go all the way again this year.
