Hilarious!
Jun. 24th, 2006 08:08 pmWe had to move ritual from the Mardi Gras fountain at the Lakefront to the Celtic Monument. No huge problem. The debris piles on the neutral ground were pretty much gone leaving nothing more than a slag heap of dirt just past the monument. The sky was cloudy and it was breezy. Nice and cool as befits summer evenings when it's getting ready to rain. The usual smudging and oiling and assigning quarters to call. I got west invoking water. I finished my call and the first thunderclap rang out. By the time we got to the meditation Trevor had written visualizing a storm, we were being rained on pretty heavily. Lightning struck about half a block away and flashed occasionally for effect almost perfectly timed with the meditation. Cakes were soggy and ale was watery, but it was a fantastic Litha ritual. Naturally, the rain stopped when we finished. I'm so glad my deities have a sense of humor.
