We still have power as of 9:00 pm. We also have bug-out bags ready just in case. I'm getting ready to shut the computer down in a little while and yank the hard drive out to keep my data. We're still planning to stay.

My parents will both be working- my dad is the local 911 director and my mom will be busy keeping all those purty computers running. I'll be taking care of my 4 animals plus my mom's 3 weenie dogs.

I'll give you a call tomorrow. I've already fielded a fuckload of folks phoning to check on me already. Brad even called offering us refuge in Alexandria. The in-laws still haven't gotten there (that was their destination) and they left around 3:00. They called to check in about two hours ago.

I HAVE PERSONALLY SEEN SUSAN AND JOE AND THE 4 CATS AND THEY ARE FINE NOW. GLAD TO BE SAFE AND DOING GOOD. THEY FINALLY WENT TO BRAD AND BETTYS HOUSE HERE IN PINEVILLE LA. I AM BETTY, BRAD DOES NOT HAVE INTERENT AT HIS HOUSE SO I THOUGHT I WOULD PASS THIS INFO AS I CAN. THEY DID NOT KNOW HOW BAD IT WAS TILL THEY GOT TO SEE PICTURES AS THEY HAD NO ELECTRICITY. IF YOU LIKE TO POST A MESSAGE FOR THEM, I WILL COPY AND GIVE TO THEM TOMORROW WHEN I GET THERE. HAVE A BLESSED AND SAFE ONE.

I was concerned more after seeing our news. They had something on about hammers and how New Orleans is inside a bowl area below sea level. Also that people rushing to leave town were clogging roads(mostly in the west some a few people headed east) It sounded very scary. I hope they all stay safe there.

*hugs* I was worried about you guys after seeing our news here. It had your governer saying people should have hammers and stuff if the flooding forces you to go into your attics. Then it occured to me would you have an attic if the wind is bad? Know we are all thinking of you and hoping you'll be ok. I hope it's gone by the morning and that you guys can get some rest tonight.

times like this, i stop shaking my fist at the sky and saying "can't you do better" and start saying "Ok, i get the idea, thank you"...

I just realized that will the guides for packing for HUMANS after a storm... there are never lists of what to pack for the sake of your PET...

I hope that you and your family are doing alright. I saw on the news that the situation in New Orleans is getting worse and I just wanted to check and see if everything is ok as it can be.
