Probably due to allergens. Even if I never had an allergy before, there is so much of it in the air, a mild allergy heretofore unnoticed would blow up into something extreme. Drugs obtained and ingested. I should be perked up by Samhain.

Allergies can hit at any time of your life and suddenly disappear too. After what where you've been has gone through I can imagine that yea air is probably toxic even if you don't realize it because of all the stuff shifting around from cleaning up/rebuilding.

Not only is the air blowing all that nasty dust around, there are parts of the city that STINK to high heaven. I drove my friend to the airport and we had to roll the windows up a few times. On top of that, we saw one of those lawn care twerps with a leaf blower chasing all the dust he found on the sidewalk over to the street. Yeah, I really want to drive through that and breathe it in. Yuck.

I wasn't aware that allergies were that fickle. Most of the people I know who are allergic have been so all their lives.

That sounds gross to have to put up with. Lets home mother nature helps clean some of the ick away.

Yes allergies unfortunately are like that. I found that out the hard way when I had my sudden allergy to almonds evolve. Also with some of my developed drug intolerances.(I wasn't allergic but became allergic or sometimes have an allergic reaction) I also found out few years before that for asthmatics if you move every few years to different climate/region your asthma may go away if it's related to environmental allergies. I'm not totally sure why but you can go asthma free for something like 5 yrs. My grandma had personal experience with that and told me about it when I commented on how I'm asthmatic in interior of BC but not bad in southern BC.

Nope.

mold/mildew spores can do nasty nasty things to your respiratory system. I'm sure you're innundated with that crap now.

Make sure you take time for yourself for meditation and healing work. You can't help anyone else if you're not well.

I've got medicine. After writers' group tonight, I'm going to bed and plan to stay there for a few days' worth of rest.

Well, since I am all grown up now my allergies are not that bad. I used to be allergic to almost everything. I could not sleep with my stuffed animals because they made me sick. Explains why I am so demented ;>...
Do not forget to drink your scotch, but only good scotch. Bad scotch will make you an alcoholic. Trust me on this. Remember I have papers that say I am totally sane.
Allergies do suck so and I do not do this for just anyone... {{{nolawitch}}}, and get better dammit!!!

I actually DO have some scotch I could drink. I'll wait until after the meeting tonight so I'm not out on the roads half drunk.

It's the best scotch I can afford. While we were up in Alex, our host bought some Glenlivet which he kindly shared with me. We've vowed to each buy a bottle of 50-year-old scotch in several years when we both hit 50 and drink it together.

I've put my bottle on the counter for when I get home.

It was SO good. I tried not to scarf too much of it. I think I sipped my way through about four, maybe five shots total.
