Your Social Dysfunction:
Happy

You're a happy person - you have a good amount of self-esteem, and are socially healthy. While this isn't a social dysfunction per se, you're definitely not normal. Consider yourself lucky: you walk that fine line between 'normal' and being outright narcissistic. You're rare - which is something else to be happy about.

Last evening I was thinking about how outwardly not miserable I am. Considering the upheavals and derangements from the storm and all the other changes in my life, I am unsure if I'm really as together as I seem. Although I'm not mopey or gloomy, I cannot seem to get this office cleaned up to my satisfaction. The clutter drives me crazy yet I only succeed in shuffling it around. The rest of the house doesn't have the same problem. A few minutes tidying up in any other room is sufficient to make it presentable to guests. The office is a mess that I don't let anyone besides family see. I didn't get a lot accomplished yesterday and may not get much done today either. Yeesh.

Well, orderly and cleanly is all well and good,

but too much of it is simply anal ;-).
No serious problem there, I guess.
If you really worry about your inner stability, take a close look at your dreams, maybe? If they're all scary and have unhappy endings, with you being helpless, or bound, or blind - then you might need to take action.
The most probable danger in your case I would suspect to be burnout? You are indeed doing a lot, and seem rather demanding with yourself...
Take care!

Dreams.

Despite an effort to dream about my novel to make the writing process go easier, last night I dreamed I was driving my friend Pete's truck to job sites delivering materials. In the dream, I was doing pretty well with the stick shift and clutch. In reality, I can't drive a standard transmission vehicle worth a shit.

Burnout is a real issue. That's even more reason to get this office cleaned up. I need to put projects that aren't finished away so that I can concentrate on stuff that's actually getting done. A clear workspace allows me to focus on one task so that my energies don't get scattered by distracting myself with others.

Listen to the crowd ;-).

The dream is positive, I'd say. Whenever you dream yourself capable, that's good. And you're even helping others, and having a skill you don't in real life. All good.
Stick shifts on big Diesels are a pain in the rear even if you "can" do it, by the way :-).

Wish you patience and nerves. I know burnout *sigh*.

If those results are accurate, it's like winning the lottery. :)

These Internet quizzes and such may or may not be well-constructed. I've done some that I've considered deadly accurate and others that I thought missed the target by several miles. By and large, I'm a fairly upbeat and positive person. I may even have a touch of pronoia (http://www.pronoia.net/def.html). I may be crazy, but I don't suffer from my insanity; I enjoy every minute of it. :)

That particular meme seems to equate extroversion and social confidence as as happy. Join me in the "happy" bar and I'll buy you a drink, 'cause I got almost exactly the same result. :)

Listen to your dream... just a guess but it might be telling you that your energy focus (toward helping restructure the community) is satisfying and empowering for the time being. Go a little easy on yourself cluttered office-wise. It'll come together when you're ready.

That is just too scary

I can say the exact same thing about my office clutter and the rest of the house (well, OK, the basement is a shambles too).

What I think it really says about us both is that we need bigger offices (and more storage/filing/sorting equipment)

That was me (I didn't know I was logged out)

OK, I don't think this quiz is terribly accurate

I'm even more polyanna than you are (way up in the Happy blue box).

The questions are too black and white and many of them didn't have the "real" answer.

But what do you expect from an internet "quiz"? A much more accurate picture of personality is the Kiersey Temprament Sorter (and I'm an ENTx) on that.

now i am scared, too

Your Social Dysfunction:
Schizotypal

You display social deficits and oddities of thinking. Your perception and communication are similar to those of a schizophrenic.
