Life continues.
Oct. 27th, 2006 08:30 amWednesday morning, I went to the clinic and got assigned a doctor whom I will see in about six weeks. They did a PAP smear and will refer me for a mammogram. The waiting list for mammograms is three months. Oh well.
After that, I hung out with Rebecca and Teena from my writers' group. They were writing a short play for Teena's church. The play centered around using computers in hell. Neither of them seem to be devious enough to come up with evil stuff people in hell can do with computers to recruit. I rattled off a bunch of things the Republicans have done: screw up the economy so that there's no legitimate way for people to make ends meet, let advertizing run rampant to increase greed levels, cook the books, etc. That was fun. Writing with others is difficult though. Everyone has their own way of doing things.
Yesterday, my last batch of students took their test and passed. Out of fifty questions, the most they missed were three and that means all of them got an A. I went through their Books of Shadows and found more than was required. They also made them look real pretty by gluing pictures and drawings in them. This morning, I'm going to coffee with Vel to look over everything. As soon as I get at least one cup of coffee consumed, I've got to get moving and get ready to go. It's rainy but not cool, the worst weather to dress for.
Saturday morning we'll be decorating the VFW Hall for the dance. Saturday evening we'll be dancing and having fun. Sunday is initiation. Sometime between now and Saturday night, I've got to make booze balls. I'm so glad I have a food processor.
In all this activity, I've managed to get a little bit of writing done. I need to get Chapter 6 finished before Monday evening. I'm determined to get my protagonist's first husband killed off before the end of the year. That happens toward the end of Chapter 7 and beginning of Chapter 8. I've got a good bit of work to do. I've also been designated as the scheduler for the group. We're not going to be able to meet in the bookstore for the whole month of December so I've offered my living room. It's either that or the library.
