Work was a bear today. Naturally, one of the servers flaked and had me frothing about it until just after 4:00. Then there was the glitch in our government-mandated Office of Foreign Assets Control software. I tried to sit quietly drinking my Theraflu, which isn't bad if you're sick and your taste buds don't much give a shit what you toss on them. They hadn't even begun to install our phone lines for the move tomorrow which has been postponed because we couldn't get the phone lines. *rolls eyes and shrugs*

I'm glad. I didn't want to move tomorrow anyway. I didn't have every damned thing tagged yet although we're tripping over boxes wherever we walk. I'm also still tired from being sick for four days.

The once-defunct hardware store across the street is being revived. Workmen showed up Saturday and began pulling all the old shingles off the roof. My car had been parked over there because the fuckwits next door had some goober-assed friends over who parked in MY MOTHERFUCKING SPOT. My loving husband moved the car back to safety. The building now has a new roof and they had dragged a couple of trailer loads (smallish trailer) of debris out of the building presumably to the dump. I wonder what sort of business they're going to put in there. They can't really do another hardware store. It's too small and can't compete with Lowe's and Home Depot. I didn't see the evil jerks who used to own the place when it was a hardware store. They were the weirdest people. They acted like they hated being merchants, hated hardware, hated customers, couldn't be bothered to keep stuff in stock, etc. I went in there a few times for common items when I first moved in. I thought to myself, How convenient! I don't even have to drive to Home Depot down the road. Little did I know that it was probably a front for money laundering. Why else would they keep store hours and treat customers so poorly? I had to end up getting in the car and driving to Home Depot because those jerks didn't have 1 and 1/2" phillips head screws. What kind of crap is that? I swear I saw a snow shovel in there once. I mean bizarre.

Well, my energy is waning. I must gulp some NyQuil and collapse for the night. I'm getting better, just too damned slowly for my preference.
