Bloody fucking hell!

One of our dear witches is in the hospital. Vel called me last evening to give me the scoop. She's supposed to be going out of town today. I think after reading goddessmusings' account, our friend E will pull through. She could be in very bad shape though. hmc_lavadogs told me some of the medical ramifications and they aren't easily overcome if the circumstances were as dire as I heard them to be. I'm lighting another candle this morning. We all love her very much and hope she recovers.

I'm still sick. Still coughing and blowing a hideously sore nose. I'm going to run to the store this afternoon and stay in the rest of the weekend to rest. The heaviest lifting I plan to do is paper to get caught up for writers' group Monday evening. I might watch some Firefly if DH doesn't have a game to watch. No energy sucks. I need to get better so I can get stuff done. If I don't crash later, I'll update with any new info. I'd appreciate if y'all could light a candle for my friend.

Yeah. That's cool. I'll check the schedule. Since I'm the low man on the totem pole, I get last choice for days off. If I can finagle a long weekend during your trip here, I'll pop out to SF with you. I've never technically been to SF, only sat on the tarmac at the airport.

Trust a geek to refer to the petitioning of a deity using an "interface". I'll never look at my candles as mere candles ever again. I'm going to use that as a joke in class next Sunday too. Thanks.

I don't know what it is, but it's a real bitch and it's been afflicting me over a week now.
