nolawitch58Last night's eclipse was awesome. Hubby and I took our coven's Navy guest out to the Quarter since he's leaving in another week or so. hmc_lavadogs was a corpsman, we got to see the medical facilities (and the morgue). It's a beautiful vessel. After the tour of the ship docked out at Avondale, we headed off towards town. We watched the moon rise in eclipse and reveal itself fully on the Moon Walk. The shimmery reflection on the water of the river was fit for capturing on film.
We then strolled around the streets until we ended up at the Dungeon. The guys played some pool and drank. I was handed a cherry which looked delicious and was until the Everclear it was soaked in turned the inside of my mouth into an inferno. I had a beer and then stopped drinking because I was the designated driver. It gave me a chance to look at the decor in the Dungeon. Very nice. I hadn't been there in years.
At some point before midnight, the guys decided they wanted to go to the casino to play poker. Off we went to Harrah's. I watched because I totally suck at poker. And I'm such a horrible lightweight, I couldn't keep going past 1:00 am. Our guest was happy to get a ride back to his ship. I left hubby at the poker table and he took a cab home later. They both doubled their money so I was right that Table 13 was lucky for them.
I was dragging during class today, though. I was glad there was a quiz scheduled and I didn't have to talk much.
