I had to ditch out of all the Doctor Who and Torchwood LJ communities. They were too dense on my Friends page and I barely have time for the friends I already have. Y'all have seniority over anyone new I meet.

Only two more nights of shitty sleep. I bought a new mattress after my trip to Shreveport proved that the reason I was waking up feeling like I'd been beaten wasn't because I'm getting old. I'm sort of pissed at my doctor because she didn't ask how old my mattress was (five years) and what its quality was (cheap) when I went in complaining of the achiness. Honest to hell, people, don't scrimp on your sleep.

This Doctor Who kick has provided a nice way to procrastinate on other projects. I found and downloaded all of the theme songs for each Doctor. I'm almost over it.

A good quality mattress can make all the difference in the world! Enjoy your new mattress when it arrives. We bought a new one when we moved up here and while it was hella expensive, it is worth every single penny.

Oh, it's Kris by the way. I'm just posting from my photography journal, too lazy to sign out and sign back in. :-)

Yeah. We're getting a Simmons Beautyrest and it costs a fuckload. No matter. Cheap-assed crap is for young people who aren't on the outer reaches of their decrepitude.

I remember sitting in the car with my ex on long drives listening to nothing but a cd full of dorky sci-fi themesongs among which were a lot of the dr. Who songs. There was even two disco-like remixes (I later heard which band did one of those, but I can't recall) and I loved them for the sheer wrongness of them. Aaah, fond memories ;)

I got one of the two disco remixes. Silly as hell, but I like it.

That was an earlier incarnation of The KLF, known as The Timelords. They mixed together Rock'n'Roll Part 2 and the Dr Who theme and called it "Doctorin' the TARDIS".

that was the first question my rheumatologist asked - was about my mattress. I need to replace mine desperately, but we've been putting it off because a king won't fit in our bedroom, and we keep planning to move upstairs "any day now" once we start renovating.

My kid has my mother's old Stearns & Foster (which is actually a new mattress) and MAN is it more comfy than the POS we're sleeping on.

Thanks for reminding me to set aside 2K for a new mattress & bed in my renovation budget.

You are going to love your new mattress. I bought my Beautyrest when I moved to Florida. Didn't have much choice. But I love it. Worth every penny. I should just hire my body out to test mattresses. If i wake up pain free it's good.

My Beautyrest is now 12 years old and still good. Though now I'm a single, for 10 yrs, there were 2 of us.

I flip it 2x a year: in Jan, side to side and in June, head to toe. BTW, I'm not a light weight, but the mattress has yet to get lumpy. This is one place where cost does matter.

There is a feature in the livejournal toolbar, that allows you to filter journals only, or communities only, etc.

This would allow you to stay a member in your various interest communities, but quickly switch them off when you want to.
