The Goddess Rising Conference is over for this year. Though it didn't seem jam packed with people, we at least broke even or made a little (final accounting is in process), which is more than we thought we'd do. The speakers were awesome. I missed some of Mike Nichols' session due to errand running, so I bought his book instead. Lots of good workshops and seminars. Lady Tamara was brilliant as usual. I so love Dorothy and MR.
Seeing everybody in from out of town was nice. I think we're the luckiest coven to have such fabulous sister covens willing to step up to the plate and work as hard as our tired, old asses do. I'm getting some personal minions in the future. I'd like to be able to delegate work.
The schedule is socked in until Thanksgiving. We've got Mimi's soiree next weekend, the dedication of the Interfaith Health Center for Samhain, cemetery sweep on November 1st and Sallie Ann's ritual that evening. Election Day is coming up. The first full weekend in November is the company's DR exercise. We've penciled in a meeting about the Buckland Museum the second weekend of November.
I'm behind on my writing. As soon as I post this, I'm headed to the library for some quiet time to review what I've accomplished so far and consolidate the edits from last night's critique. Tonight, a new episode of "House" airs. Except for the unopened envelopes containing my meager 401(k) statements, all is right with the world.
