My husband, sister-in-law and I watched the movie "Demolition Man" last evening. Stallone, Snipes and Bullock starred in that film released in 1993. It purported to take place in the oh-so-placid 21st Century. In the scene where the police are trying to find out who escaped from the cryoprison, the name on the parole hearing list immediately before Simon Phoenix is Scott Peterson. Whoa! I wonder if he saw that movie when it came out and he was in his early 20s and laughed with his buddies if he noticed his name.

I freaked. I made Corpsman rerun it three times and then pause it so we could check dates for the movie and the murder. It's a good flick to watch every so often anyway. That's the sort of horrible future the fundiwhacktivists want for us: enhance your calm, no fluid transfer, no physical contact, let Big Brother handle all of the big issues for you. Denis Leary is worth it for his righteous defiance of the santitized-for-your-protection future. Snipes is total giggles in those striped pants and over-the-top ham job.

Alas, I tend to catch stuff that is incorrect the vast majority of my viewing time. Its real hard for me to watch military movies because of that.
