Accountability Update Year End
Dec. 31st, 2009 10:33 amComplete:
Organize all writing projects. (Done.)
Totally pay off two debts. (Three gone to date.)
Update budget spreadsheet (Being kept current.)
Progress:
Apply for grants for the museum. (Worked on the forms and wording. I still need to assemble my form letters and mail merge database.)
No progress:
Configure two complete computers for gifts. (Zip.)
Submit one of my vampire short stories everywhere until it gets published. (I've got lists of publications. I need to write a form letter and construct the mail merge database.)
Don't start any more writing projects until ones in progress are finished. (*insert maniacal and derisive laughter here*)
Paint the closets upstairs. (Nada.)
Rid myself of twenty more pounds. (It's the holidays. Too much good food around.)
Lessons Learned:
My energies feel scattered on a daily basis. I've got many different projects I'm keeping track of at work and the addition of a number of domestic projects doesn't help me focus. In the future, I'm going to break down the larger goals into smaller tasks and try to concentrate on one major goal at a time. I found that I can write two pages a day, but that only applies if I follow a strict routine without deviating for conferences and other social activities.
