Nervous energy
Feb. 7th, 2010 09:34 amThe big day has arrived. Roughly twelve hours from now, the world will know who won the Super Bowl this year. Granted, a great proportion doesn't really care, but anyone who has ever felt the warm embrace of the Crescent City will know why it's important to us here.
In anticipation, I took tomorrow off work. We are going to my mother-in-law's to eat this afternoon, then she's tossing everyone out to tend to her regular Sunday afternoon routine. I've got laundry in progress, and I'm revising some parts of my manuscript before embarking on the extensive tweakage I've been told it needs. If all goes well, I'll have clean clothes, a clean manuscript and a reason to run out to the Quarter tonight.
