I can't help thinking that nobody really *forces* anyone to buy flimsy, colourful, unsustainable clothing without pockets ;-).
Of course, that all makes sense. But then again, think of that market: Teenagers, namely. Or other "girly" females that don't want to spend much on clothes, but definitely need new stuff every two weeks, if only to show off to their peers. It simply won't pay to manufacture their things with much care and thoughts about practicality :-p.
(What's wrong with buying men's jeans?! They basically look the same, have five pockets and will last a lot longer.)
Okay, now THAT's stupid... Here, the ladies can buy blazer suits with just as many pockets as the males have, if a bit smaller, maybe. Not with the skirt versions, though.
