The room is down to studs. There's a pile of debris on the curb. The tub has been framed and placed where it belongs. Dust and dirt is everywhere. The plumber and electrician come tomorrow. We can probably have this done by Friday, including the painting. Hubby's nephew worked eight hours on it today.

I'm tired, even though I mostly watched and did little. I managed to transcribe all my scribbling from the past week, and I should be able to bring the latest chapter of my novel to the writers group next Monday. I'm not even going to try for tomorrow since a key scene is still unfinished, and all I want to do tonight is chill out and watch TV.

The discipline involved in writing anything substantial is something I envy.
I liked watching the process too, see it come together. Happy thoughts for a quick finish.

Look at you with a room of nothing but studs. ;)

Thank you, I'll be here all week!

(Probably.)

May your nerves be minimally frayed. This part of the work is very trying. I admire you for being able to continue your novel through the dust and wrecks.

Out of curiosity: what do you use for a shower/bath in the meantime? Do you have a second one?

We have a half-bath downstairs. We'll be washing out of the sink there for a few days. That's why I wanted to do this in the colder months. If it was summer, it would be too hot to live without a shower/tub even for a few days.
