How could I ruin my bad reputation by doing a good deed as the year fades? What possessed me? What possible karma will I reap by giving my last beers to the crazy neighbor recently crying on my doorstep?

Like some sort of avian flu virus? No, I'm a mean, old misanthrope, I tell you! Giving her those beers was aiding and abetting her alcoholism...yeah, that's the ticket.

Sure it was. I didn't want her crying on my doorstep anymore. Her sole problem seemed to be that she couldn't get in touch with her daughter to have her make a beer run for her and she had no money to stroll up the street to the Sav-A-Center to buy some.

Not a good idea. Drunk and crazy and on your doorstep...could be dangerous and encourage them to come back.
