The downpour the Weather Channel promised finally got here. Thankfully, I got out to sign up with another temp agency and got home before it started raining. The people at the temp agencies seem to be agog over my computer skills. I always get high scores because I could do most of that stuff in my sleep. I even get decent scores when I've got a sharp pain in my shoulder blade from a pinched nerve. As soon as I got home, I scarfed down an Aleve. Although it hasn't totally ditched the pain yet, it has taken the edge off.

Unfortunately, today is Thursday so I have to gather up the trash and clean out the cat boxes to put out for tomorrow's pickup. Slowly but surely will have to be the key to my accomplishment this afternoon (and no, I'm not calling you Shirley). At least I don't have to cook later. We've got leftovers for the next two days. I've been craving some red beans and rice which I'll make for the weekend. If you've ever had my red beans, you know that they're very close to being as good as any native New Orleanian's red beans.

I'm drinking coffee out of a mug with a cow staring up at me from the bottom.

saminz sent it as part of the tasty package of chocolate and stuff that arrived numerous weeks ago. This is the first time I've used it. Other coffee mugs were in the dishwasher and this one came up in rotation. It's so cute.

OK, my sorry ass is off to deal with cat boxes. Do the worst first and the rest seems best. (Feel free to steal that quote.)
