Errands done.
Jan. 13th, 2007 01:06 pmMaybe I'll do a few loads of laundry before the game. There is alcohol for either celebrating or drowning our sorrows. Munchies have been obtained. Six and a half hours until kickoff. Plenty of time for pregame rituals that may or may not feature in wins or losses, but who wants to take a chance and not add to the energy? Not me.
I watched the march against crime on City Hall from the window at work. I wished I could have gone and joined them, but my plate was full of reports and other tasks. Some dickhead who sounds a lot like a sock puppet of
interdictor has stirred up shit in
neworleans. He (presumably it's a he) said that the march was futile and that everyone should give up and leave. Trolls' lives must be so suck-assed that they have to spread the suck near and far to make themselves feel better. In other news, Poppy Brite has a new journal name, which I'm sure several of you already knew weeks or months ago when she changed it.
Yvonne DeCarlo's death wasn't unexpected, but it certainly stirred up my fond memories of "The Munsters". I had the hugest crush on Eddie Munster at the time.
(More in a while. I'm being pestered for food.)
UPDATE: All cats are lounging around the house with full bellies, even the two-legged one.
So much to do. I've got to get the Second Degree lessons typed before we start classes on February 4th. I'm still working on updating the First Degree lessons, which contained typos out the yin-yang and redundant sections. On the bright side, I've got lots more room since all the extraneous computer equipment is gone. I could lay all the sections of each book out in order and work on them a chunk at a time. Of course, I'd like to have some time to work on my novel. Friends, don't ever whine to the deities that you're bored and want something to do. The gods will dump fuckloads of work on you. The work will be enjoyable, but there will be a plethora of it.
One of the writers in my writers' group may have quit. He had become increasingly unhappy with the lack of consistency in the rules. Last Monday, the straw broke the camel's back. I'm going to email him once I figure out what to say that will smooth things over.
There are things I'm forgetting. I guess I'll have to post again tomorrow when I remember them.

Date: 2007-01-13 08:01 pm (UTC)Saints winning would be extremely cool.
Geaux Saints
Date: 2007-01-13 08:55 pm (UTC)Many thoughts facing the issues in New Orleans and I do try to stay positive. This last wave of violent crime hit way to close to home. As if "checkpoints" would have stopped any of it. What a bunch of idiocy. Someone needs to slap Nagin upside his bald head.
I will end on a positive note: The Saints will win! They have to...
