Many of them were on the road with us yesterday. I'm glad as hell that we weren't on the road today. That looked like a nightmare on the TV reports.

We were smart. We went Airline all the way to Baton Rouge before we got onto the throbbing hemorrhoid that is the I-10 through that city. Traffic was heavier than usual on the I-10 and the I-49. There was a four- or five-mile stretch before Alexadria where some morons had wrecked caused a backup. By the time we got to the scene, the wreck had been pulled off to the side of the road, but as hubby observed, doing the lookey-loo thing is mandatory for anyone under a certain IQ level.

We're in and the cats are finally coming out from under the beds. We'll probably be here for at least a week. Thank the deities for an internet connection. Love you all.

CNN says that the outer band of the storm is starting to roll in. I'm glad that you and your family (cats count!) are down and dry. Stay in touch.

Glad y'all made it safe. We are still here, hunkered down to ride it out. Lori is coming over to ride it out with us, three kitties in tow. Plenty of room and this way she doesn't ride it out alone. I didn't like that idea at all. Becca evacuated to Monroe. Kristy and Justin are riding it out with friends at their house.

We'll keep in touch.

Thanks for the good news!

Things look dangerous from here - the radar, now.

Here's to your fabulous town...

Glad you are safely away from the worst of it. A month ago a tornado (4th in the history of NH since the early 1800's) roared through followed by many days of overwhelming rain and flooding. Except for the few directly hit, it was nowhere near as bad as what can happen in your area, but we learned how horribly destructive severe weather can be. We pray for the safety of all in your neck of the woods.
