One foot in front of the other.
Jan. 25th, 2009 02:02 pmI'm rocking and rolling at work. Lots of crap that had been hanging around finally got done. Now we're on to new crap. Hooray! We're closer to hiring someone to be my backup. Even better. As soon as that person is trained, we transition him/her into my position and I get to do more of the project management than I'm doing now. Woo hoo!
Writing continues to flow in fits and starts. I'm about a quarter of the way through a chapter since last week. That keeps me on track as far as my accomplishment accountability list. The monthly writing group is having a sleepover at a fishing camp downriver next weekend. We had to wait until duck season was over, and yeah, my mind continues to hear the exchange between Bugs and Daffy over which season it is. Sometimes a change of scenery helps elicit a change in perspective. Freshens one's outlook, so to speak.
Between writing and witch business, my calendar is full for the next few months. We've got a yard sale in two weeks. I'll be taking the current crop of students to finish their First Degree work. Vel is jammed up with getting her house built and dealing with idiocy in the prison ministry. I need to shoehorn researching grant money for the museum into my time. I've got all the standard forms. I'm just waiting for the official name and a place to submit them. Mardi Gras is coming up.
As busy as I am, I feel for President Obama. He's got so much crap to clean up. I'm glad the Global Gag Rule is gone. I was proud to see the huge number of people who turned out for the inauguration. Hubby tells me that there were no arrests for the approximately two million people who were there. That is magical. I'm hoping that it's a trend and that America is sick of stupidity. When they see what intelligence and competence can do, they may get accustomed to it. If they can avoid succumbing to the siren song of the GOP during the next few election cycles, I'll believe it.

Date: 2009-01-26 08:19 pm (UTC)Don't confuse the Republicans for the Religious Right. A lot of us voted for Obama because we're getting of the Religious Right too. :(
Georgie is not a Republican and if he thinks that history will vindicate him then he really should watch what sort of mushrooms Laura is putting in his gravy.
